2026 Highlights
Thank you to everyone who joined us for CFCA’s 2026 Day at the Capitol. With 70+ attendees, consisting of returning attendees & new faces, DATC continues to be a success every year. We appreciate everyone taking time away from daily operations to advocate on behalf of our industry and local communities.
Throughout the day, attendees participated in 70+ legislative meetings, sharing real stories and educating policymakers on key issues impacting our industry and consumers, including California’s ongoing fuel supply and gas price challenges.
Discussions focused on expanding consumer access to lower-cost fuel options through CFCA-sponsored bill AB 2046, addressing concerns surrounding the proposed SAF tax credit budget proposal & its potential impacts on everyday goods & affordability, & continuing conversations on policies that support California businesses, market stability, & consumer choice beyond fueling at the pump.

2026 Keynote Speaker
Thank You To Our Keynote Speaker Assemblymember Heath Flora! Our keynote session reinforced the power of personal advocacy, reminding attendees that the stories they share at DATC can shape how legislators understand our industry.
Assemblyman Flora urged participants to go beyond discussing industry challenges & clearly communicate how these issues directly affect consumers and local communities. When lawmakers see the real-world impact behind the policies they vote on, they are better equipped to support solutions that protect consumers and strengthen our industry.
On behalf of the California State Assembly, CFCA’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors were recognized with Official Certificates of Recognition, honoring their leadership, advocacy, & continued commitment to representing California’s fuels and convenience industry.

CFCA hosts an evening reception the night before Day At The Capitol, bringing together fuel and convenience leaders from across California, industry peers, and invited legislators for an evening of networking and connection.
