What Is CFCACares?

CFCACares is an initiative created by CFCA to highlight and celebrate the meaningful ways our members give back to the communities they serve. At its core, CFCACares exists to shine a light on the everyday actions, both big and small, that demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.

Across our network, CFCA members are actively involved in supporting local organizations, volunteering their time, contributing resources, and responding to the unique needs of their communities. CFCACares brings these efforts together in one place, creating a collective story of service that reflects who we are as an organization and what we stand for.

By sharing these stories, we aim to encourage continued involvement, spark new ideas for community engagement, and reinforce the importance of giving back. It’s an opportunity for members to learn from one another, collaborate, and expand the reach of their impact.

National Small Business Week

CFCA Cares about small businesses—the backbone of California’s economy. During National Small Business Week, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the hardworking entrepreneurs and family-run operations that fuel our communities. At CFCA, nearly half of our members are small business owners, many of whom have served California for generations. We stand with them not just this year, but every day, advocating for the resources, support, and recognition they deserve.

CFCA Staff Volunteer Day

With how much our members give back to their communities, CFCA strives to do the same in return every year with a dedicated staff volunteer day.

IN 2023: The CFCA team had the incredible opportunity to support the Wildlife Care Association (WCA), a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife in the Sacramento area.

Our team toured the facility and assisted with various essential tasks, including washing dishes, cleaning outdoor enclosures, cutting drapes, making minor cage repairs, and helping with landscaping. Through these efforts, we contributed to WCA’s mission and witnessed firsthand the dedication that goes into caring for California’s wildlife.

We are grateful to the Wildlife Care Association for welcoming us and for the vital work they do to protect and rehabilitate our local wildlife!

IN 2024: The CFCA team took part in a heartwarming initiative, delivering beautiful flower bouquets to CFCA members throughout the Sacramento area. These vibrant bouquets were generously provided by Relles Florist, a beloved local Sacramento business, as part of their annual 'Petal it Forward' event.

The purpose of the event was to spread joy and inspire kindness by encouraging recipients to 'petal it forward'—sharing their bouquet with someone else. It was a meaningful opportunity for our team to connect with members, brighten their day, and support a wonderful local cause.

We are grateful to Relles Florist for helping us spread happiness and foster kindness in the Sacramento community in 2024!

At CFCA, we care about our community's essential workers—the first responders, medical personnel, and American Red Cross volunteers who are always there when we need them.

On July 24, convenience stores and fuel marketers across America will come together to honor these dedicated individuals who ensure that no one faces an emergency alone. This day is an opportunity to show appreciation for their service and commitment to our communities.

WHO QUALIFIES? Doctors, EMTs, Firefighters, Nurses, Paramedics, Police, Red Cross Volunteers.
