CA Energy Symposium |

Where Fuel Meets the Heart of the California Industries

The CA Energy Symposium is a CFCA event where all industries impacted by California’s energy policies come together to engage with local, state, and federal elected officials. This year, we held sessions in three regions: Sonoma, Modesto, and Redding. Each session highlighted how these policies affect more than just the fuel industry and fostered collaboration on practical, forward-looking solutions to address shared challenges.

Attendees engaged with experts on the front lines of California’s energy challenges, amplified their industries’ voices, and collaborated on actionable solutions to prevent future crises. In each region, we toured local facilities to see first-hand how our industry connects with theirs. With regulatory mandates tightening and infrastructure weakening, the future of California’s energy stability, and the state’s economy, is on the line. By bringing the conversation to these three regions, we demonstrated how fuel supports and shapes key industries.

The Ripple Across Every California Industry

California’s energy challenges are impacting far more than just the price at the pump. Rising gasoline and diesel prices send a ripple effect through every industry and every stage of the supply chain, driving up costs for businesses and consumers across the state.

Why These Conversations Are Critical

California consistently faces some of the highest fuel prices in the nation, driven by several factors unique to the state’s fuel market. The CA Energy Symposium was established to bring together leaders from the fuel industry and other essential sectors to examine the practical impacts of this evolving energy landscape.

Through collaboration with industries including wine, agriculture, lumber, and other industries, these sessions will:

  • Highlight the interconnectedness between fuel and California’s core industries
  • Explore the economic and operational impacts of energy policy and supply constraints
  • Foster cross-industry collaboration and problem-solving
  • Provide insight into practical, forward-looking energy solutions
  • Connect policymakers, business leaders, and stakeholders in meaningful discussion about California’s energy future

As California faces increasing fuel supply challenges and economic pressure, these conversations are more important than ever.
