Support Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Efforts

The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles are impacting communities, businesses, and families across Southern California. Our hearts go out to all the families and communities who are affected, and we hope that all our members and their families located in SoCal are safe.

If you are looking to support those affected by the fires, you may contribute to the Fuel Relief Fund (FRF), an organization dedicated to providing emergency fuel and critical resources to those in need. Funds donated to FRF for this cause will go towards purchasing gas cards to be distributed to families at community centers and shelters.

Here's how you can help:

  1. Donate to the Fuel Relief Fund here: DONATE TODAY
  2. Email info@fuelrelieffund.org or kfrancis@fuelrelieffund.org to specify that your donation is intended for the SoCal fires relief effort

Every donation counts and brings hope to those facing these challenging times.

At CFCA, we care about the people and communities that make our industry strong. The recent Los Angeles wildfires left many families, businesses, and first responders in urgent need of support. But thanks to the power of partnerships and the generosity of our industry, relief reached those who needed it most.

Through our collaboration with the Fuel Relief Fund (FRF), NACS, and Federated Insurance, we are proud to demonstrate how CFCA Cares in action:

  • Fuel Relief Fund, in partnership with CFCA, deployed an all-volunteer team to distribute $50 prepaid gasoline gift cards to over 660 families in the Eaton Fire zone of Altadena and Pasadena. In total, $33,150 in fuel donations helped residents and first responders access critical resources.

  • CFCA and NACS launched a food recovery pilot with Chobani-La Colombe and FoodRecovery.Org, ensuring soon-to-expire food from convenience stores was redirected to wildfire relief distribution points. By connecting NACS with local retailers, CFCA helped get more food to those in need.

  • Federated Insurance has been on the ground supporting businesses impacted by the wildfires. Their claims professionals provided swift, compassionate service to help clients rebuild. Additionally, Federated made a corporate donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, further aiding recovery efforts.

This is what it means when we say CFCA Cares—we show up, we support, and we stand together in times of crisis.

If you’d like to contribute to ongoing wildfire relief efforts, consider donating to the Fuel Relief Fund or the American Red Cross.

Thank you for being part of an industry that cares.

cfca staff volunteer day

With how much our members give back to their communities, CFCA strives to do the same in return every year with a dedicated staff volunteer day.

IN 2023: The CFCA team had the incredible opportunity to support the Wildlife Care Association (WCA), a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife in the Sacramento area.

Our team toured the facility and assisted with various essential tasks, including washing dishes, cleaning outdoor enclosures, cutting drapes, making minor cage repairs, and helping with landscaping. Through these efforts, we contributed to WCA’s mission and witnessed firsthand the dedication that goes into caring for California’s wildlife.

We are grateful to the Wildlife Care Association for welcoming us and for the vital work they do to protect and rehabilitate our local wildlife!

IN 2024: The CFCA team took part in a heartwarming initiative, delivering beautiful flower bouquets to CFCA members throughout the Sacramento area. These vibrant bouquets were generously provided by Relles Florist, a beloved local Sacramento business, as part of their annual 'Petal it Forward' event.

The purpose of the event was to spread joy and inspire kindness by encouraging recipients to 'petal it forward'—sharing their bouquet with someone else. It was a meaningful opportunity for our team to connect with members, brighten their day, and support a wonderful local cause.

We are grateful to Relles Florist for helping us spread happiness and foster kindness in the Sacramento community in 2024!
